Who Am I?
When I first started to design and build my land-based lifestyle and business from scratch I didn’t know what I was doing, but I knew I had to do it. I knew that I loved nature, and I wanted to work with nature in whatever way that I could.
I knew that I would do whatever it took to live a permaculture lifestyle.
My name is Andrew French, owner of Full Boar Farm and Perennial Circle Design. I am a Certified Permaculture Designer – Author – Farmer – Chef – Landscaper – Homesteader – and occasional Yogi.
Over the course of my own journey I have learned that the most important thing in life is to follow where your heart leads, and my heart has lead me to create the Pemaculture Coaching Sessions so that I can help other people consciously create their own land-based lifestyles.
What Is Permaculture?
To paraphrase the work of David Holmgren, one of the founders of permaculture:
Permaculture is a design system based on ecological principles, which provides an organizing framework for implementing consciously designed landscapes which mimic the patterns and relationships found in nature, while yielding an abundance of food, fiber and energy for provision of local needs. People, their buildings and the ways in which they organize themselves, are central to permaculture. Permaculture draws together the diverse skills and ways of living which need to be rediscovered and developed to empower us to move from being dependent consumers to becoming responsible producers.
Permaculture is not the landscape, or even the skills of organic gardening, sustainable farming, energy efficient building or eco-village development as such, but can be used to design, establish, manage and improve these and all other efforts made by individuals, households and communities towards a sustainable future.
Why Choose Me?
For two decades I have been building a permaculture knowledge base. For over a decade I have been honing my permaculture skillset.
In that span of time I have learned many lessons, from the really specific tasks of building a pig paddock or backwoods cabin, to the more intangible skills of managing a farm checkbook or a creating a business plan.
In no way am I claiming that I know more than many other amazing homesteaders and farmers. My knowledge base and skillset, and the way that I have synthesized my life experiences, gives me a unique personal toolbox that allows me to work with anybody in any walk of life in order to help them build the bridges that will allow them to get closer to their dreams.
My Permaculture Coaching Sessions can help you with:
Buying Your Land, Prioritizing Your Goals, Purchasing Your Equipment, Raising Your Livestock, Planning Your Business, Stocking Your Larder, Creating Healthy Meals, and much, much more.
Think of me as your personal tour guide through the rough areas that you will encounter on your journey toward a permaculture lifestyle that you have never known that you needed.
In my Core Permaculture Coaching Sessions 1-3 I can help you take a clear and uncompromising look at your current situation and help you find strategies and methodologies to move you forward toward your new and improved life.
I know that you have unlimited potential inside of you, and I can help you unlock that potential.
The first step is to book a Permaculture Coaching Session 1.
PERMACULTURE COACHING SESSION 1 – 60 Minute Session
The Inner Landscape
What To Expect
In Session 1, we will meet on or off-site, but we will need a quiet place to focus on your inner landscape.
- We will find your CORE VALUES (CV) – that underlying STORY that drives and motivates all the rest of your actions and efforts.
- We will create a Life Goal List (LGL), and examine the obstacles that lay in between where you are today and where you want to be tomorrow.
- Finally, we will Identify the Fundamental Actions and Strategies (FAS) that will help you overcome those fears and obstacles.
PERMACULTURE COACHING SESSION 2 – ONSITE Approx. 3 hours
The Outer Landscape
What To Expect
In Session 2, we will meet at your site to Observe and Interact with your property.
- We will identify your main Zones and Sectors, and explore how Energy flows through your property.
- You will provide an Overview of your Existing Landscape and Operations, which is the foundation for all future home or farmstead activities or enterprises
- We will create a Personal Permaculture Action Sheet (PPAS) that will help you to visualize how you will interact with the ecologic, economic, and social systems in your life.
PERMACULTURE COACHING SESSION 3 – ONLINE or ONSITE Approx. 6 hours
The Bigger Picture
What To Expect
In Session 3, we will meet online, off-site, or on your site (depending on your preference) to revisit how you have been working with and feeling about your Core Value, LGL, PPAS, FAS, and any positive or negative feedback that you may have.
- The Main Goal of Session 3 is to take all that we have learned in Session 1 & 2 and create a Personal Permaculture Master Plan (PPMP).
- One thing to understand is that every PPMP has the potential to change in accordance to a multitude of factors, including change of relationship status, family issues, income issues, health issues, etc… With that in mind, we will focus on creating a plan that starts small and works towards complexity.
After reviewing and updating all relevant information I will develop your Personal Permaculture Master Plan and deliver it to you via mail or email. This should typically take one to two weeks.
At this point we can schedule an Ongoing Session once a month, once a year, or as appropriate.
